Keely and Javi’s love story began 4 years ago when they became friends as salsa dancing instructors at the University of Miami’s Salsa Craze club.
On December 14th, 2022 Javi asked Keely to be his girlfriend at the Fairchild Botanical Gardens.
They both share a love for traveling. After surviving 4 months apart while Keely studied abroad in Rome, the pair traveled around Italy and Greece celebrating their first anniversary in Athens’ National Botanical Garden.
Their next year together they celebrated their anniversary in New York City at yet another botanical garden.
It became very well known the two had a mutual love for cats. Javi first adopted Odin in the Summer of 2022 and then they adopted his brother Dionysus in the Spring of 2024.
Their family continued to grow when they took in Horus, the blind cat they found on the street. The two of them showered him with love and comfort for the last few months of his life in 2025.
The pair’s love blossomed over their shared interests, which aside from dancing include anime and costumes. These two take any excuse to dress up.
On November 15th, 2025 Javi proposed to Keely and asked her to marry him at Morikami Japanese Botanical Gardens and she said Yes!
Shortly after they embarked on a celebration Thanksgiving cruise that just so happens to be the exact same cruise that they will get married on in 2027!
They look forward to sharing their love with each other and their loved ones at their wedding on Wednesday, November 27th, 2027.
Our day would not be complete without remembering our grandparents who are not here to share in our special day, but will forever be in our hearts.
We lovingly remember our family members who will be with us on that day in spirit.
